We follow have a straightforward process when creating a commercial:

Creative Brief:

First, we like to find out about your business, what your product or service is and what type of message that you would like people to know about.  We've got a GET STARTED link at the top of our site which takes you to a page we call the Creative Brief.  It allows you to tell us everything we need to know in helping you put a TV commercial together.  You can also look through our TIPS pages and maybe pick up some ideas that you weren't aware of when it comes to advertising.

Script:

With the information you provide, we go away and start writing the script.  We may write just one version or we may write a few drafts before we get the final version.  Now is the time to make suggestions and changes while it's all on paper.  It gets more expensive if we have to make changes after we have shot footage or hired talent to revise something.  When you are satisfied with the script we start to put the other pieces in place.

Budget:

With the script finalized we can now determine the cost of the production.  There isn't a set price for a production as there are too many variables.  It's very much like buying a house or a car, you don't pay the same price for different models, it depends on the options.  With production, some options take more time and perhaps more cost.  Sometimes we can apply economies of scale and gather material for future uses too.  We don't have a set cost for a :15 or :30 commercial but we have a range that we can discuss with you.  Once the script is completed we can give you a more accurate idea of the costs.

Production:

Then we'll determine a time to shoot footage if it is needed.  We'll go through our schedule and your schedule and see what may work best.  If we are utilizing on camera talent we'll need to check their schedule as well.  Once we've set our shoot date we'll come to your business, or another specific location, and get the material we need.  It may take an hour or it may take a day, just depends on what what the script calls for.

Post-Production:

With the footage completed we begin the process of post production.  The script gets sent to an announcer to record the voiceover.  We use voice talent from across North America so that we can provide you with a distinctive sound for your production.  The editing process may take a few hours or pehaps longer if we are creating 2D and 3D animations for you.  When we've got something to show you we post it to our Client Preview site so you can take a look.  We wait for your feedback if changes or revisions are needed.  Once you are satisfied with the final version we'll prepare the file for electronic delivery to the broadcaster you're working with.

We also provide your commercial in a form that you can use on your own website, at no additional charge.  If you want to use your voiceover for a radio ad, we'll prepare the file for the station and send it too them too.
