We are in the midst of producing the video for the Lethbridge Broncos/Hurricanes Hall of Fame induction ceremony again this year. Last year was the inaugural use for the large screen video presentation at the Hurricanes HOF night. The six Sutter brothers that played in the NHL as well as Bronco coach John Chapman were honoured.
This year the group being inducted is made up of Bryan Trottier, Wes Walz and the Lethbridge Hockey Hounds. All of them are worthy recipients of the honour to be recognized by the hockey team and the community. Footage is sometimes hard to find for these sorts of things. Thanks to Marty Baceda at Global, we were provided a good number of highlights of Wes Walz in a Hurricane jersey. The Hockey Hounds were easy because they are there at every game of every season working hard to support the team. Their footage was recorded at the last home game. Still to come is footage from the NHL of Bryan Trottier. That is the unknown because it can be plentiful like what they provided of many of the Sutters last year or it could be like what was available for Brian Sutters video tribute. One shot, of him skating from behind the net to the blueline, lit by a spotlight in an All Star game. Hardly a great way to put together a video package.
It should be a special night for the inductees and a fun night for the fans to see the players that made it to the NHL and are back where it all started.
